Storing and Caring for Your Skincare
A little care keeps your products feeling their best. Here’s how to store them and how long they’re good for.
Keep it cool and capped
Store products somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight, and close caps and pumps tightly after use. A steamy bathroom shelf is fine for most products, but a cooler spot helps textures and scents stay fresh.
Mind the period-after-opening
Look for the small open-jar symbol on the packaging — "12M" means the product is best used within twelve months of opening. Writing the open date on the bottle is an easy habit.
Clean hands, clean tools
Apply with clean hands or a clean spatula to keep formulas fresh. If a product’s color, scent, or texture changes noticeably, it’s time to replace it.
